I like to set personal goals, particularly with running on a busy day in London doing site visits, I can walk a half marathon! I used to use the tube all the time but since taking up running I much prefer to walk and see all the sites of London.

I grew up in Sittingbourne, Kent and moved to Brighton in 2014 when I met my partner Kelly we have a Boston Terrier called Henry and he loves to go down to the beach and paddle in the sea. Brighton Beach is amazing, especially at sunrise, I give thanks every day that I found such a great place to live.

I’ve been an avid Arsenal supporter since I was 8 years old one of my favourite memories is my Dad taking me to Highbury for the first time, I’ve been a season ticket holder for years and my favourite player has to be Paul Merson because of his amazing skills and his tough journey with his demons.

I am a professionally qualified Chartered Building Control Surveyor with over thirty years’ experience, including both the public and private sectors of Building Control.

I also have a comprehensive knowledge of the Building Regulations and allied legislation, with experience across a wide range of project types, in both the commercial and residential sectors.

A man of Kent, I grew up and was educated in Rochester, moving to the nearby village of Meopham in the early 2000’s, but I’m still drawn back to Medway and my roots.

I have a passion for music, which helps to keep me centred during the travails of a busy week and I enjoy letting off steam playing the drums in local bands, watching other bands or relaxing listening to a varied and somewhat out of control music collection.

Being from Medway, I also inherited support for the local football team Gillingham, having been taken there by my Grandad in the Steve Bruce era, which shows my age, but I’m young at heart!

I’m very much a people person and enjoy the encouragement of people in their careers and hobbies to play a small part in fulfilling their potential.
