Building Control
you have the choice
Are you aware that the person responsible for meeting building regulations is the land or building owner?
As a registered building control approver H&O offers a statutory, but non-enforcement approach to assist you in how to achieve compliance.
H&O offers excellence to our clients. We are fully insured and independently audited. All of our professional surveyors are assessed and have proven experience. You can trust us.
This is an opportunity that can potentially assist you in achieving a compliant outcome from the outset, saving time and money.
From the very start
Once we have sent your Initial Notice, building works can start on site after 5 days, or when the notice has been accepted by the council (whichever is sooner). There are a few exceptions, so please do talk to us in advance of starting any building works.
Our prompt and trusted advice will give you the support needed to enable compliance.
We produce an update of the project status overall by sending an updated PCR with each site report. This helps ensure that the principal designer, contractor and client knowns the status throughout the building work stages.
Once confirmation of any remaining matters or incomplete site actions are resolved we can issue the Final Certificate which is a vital legal document that is held on property records and gives a level of assurance that to the best of our knowledge the Building Regulations have been complied with for your project.
We are PI insured and have achieved BSI 9001 for our quality management system. We operate our business as a Registered Building Control Approver to satisfy the Building Safety Regulator and Health and Safety Executive (HSE) Operational Standard Rules / Professional Code of Conduct.
Our professionally qualified Building Control Surveyors are all Registered Building Inspectors, Registered with the Building Safety Regulator, via assessment by BACCA, and also act in accordance with all HSE rules, code of conduct and industry best practice.
